The K-12 Foundation recently hosted its annual Taste of Havasu event, which took place on Thursday evening at the Lake Havasu Rodeo Grounds, as RiverScene Magazine reported. This long-running fundraiser, first established in 2006, is the signature event for the K-12 Foundation, specifically dedicated to providing essential support for local schools. All proceeds generated from the Taste of Havasu are channeled directly to benefit educational programs throughout the Lake Havasu Unified School District (LHUSD).
The event serves as a crucial initiative to enhance the learning opportunities and resources available to students within the district. Food enthusiasts from across Havasu gathered at the Rodeo Grounds to participate in the culinary experience. Attendees had the opportunity to sample a diverse array of food and beverages from various establishments operating within the Lake Havasu region. Among the many vendors present at the Taste of Havasu were Amigos Birria Tacos, Amore Pies, Cha-Bones, and College Street Brewhouse & Pub. Copper Still Distillery also offered selections, alongside Donut Post, Hangar 24th, and HRMC Cafe. Lin’s Little China and Martini Bay contributed to the diverse culinary landscape available for sampling. Mohave Mortgage/AZ Premium Water provided refreshments, complementing offerings from Mudshark Brewery and Romer Beverage. Additional participants included Shugrue’s, Stubby’s BBQ, Summeray Wine Bar, and The Nautical Inn. Each of these businesses played a role in showcasing the local flavors and contributing to the event's success.
