Lake Havasu City Police Department officers responded to a reported road rage incident and possible shooting on September 26, 2026, at approximately 10:17 p.m. The incident unfolded in the vicinity of Acoma Boulevard North and McCulloch Boulevard North. The investigation subsequently led to the arrests of Malachi Walls, 31, and Jasmine Walls, 27, both residents of Las Vegas, Nevada, in connection with the escalating confrontation.
Upon arrival, officers located both vehicles involved in the incident and contacted multiple individuals. The Lake Havasu City Police Department's investigation revealed that the incident originated shortly before the initial call. A verbal altercation occurred between a male and a female, later identified as the Walls, in the 1600 block of McCulloch Boulevard North. During this initial dispute, occupants of another vehicle began yelling at the male and female involved in the primary verbal exchange. Following this, the male and female from the initial altercation, Malachi and Jasmine Walls, began to pursue the other vehicle. They followed this vehicle at a high rate of speed through several city streets, transforming the verbal disagreement into a high-stakes chase across the community.
The pursuit culminated in a shooting incident. At one point during the unfolding event, Malachi Walls retrieved a firearm and proceeded to discharge multiple rounds at the other vehicle. The bullets struck the rear tailgate of the vehicle being pursued. Despite the discharge of a firearm and the impact on the vehicle, law enforcement confirmed that no injuries were sustained by anyone involved as a direct result of the shooting. As officers continued their investigation into the scene and statements, they determined that Malachi Walls had discarded the firearm from his vehicle at some point. Officers later successfully located and recovered the weapon.
As a direct outcome of the comprehensive investigation by the Lake Havasu City Police Department, Malachi Walls was taken into custody. He faces an extensive list of charges reflecting the severity of the alleged actions. These charges include disorderly conduct with a weapon, discharging a firearm within city limits, and false reporting to law enforcement. Additionally, Malachi Walls was charged with four counts of aggravated assault and four counts of endangerment, indicating multiple victims were perceived to be at risk during the incident. Further charges include criminal damage for the harm inflicted on the other vehicle, and drive-by shooting, which directly addresses the act of firing a weapon from a moving vehicle.
Jasmine Walls was also arrested in connection with the incident, facing her own set of serious charges. Her charges include false reporting to law enforcement, which is consistent with the charges against Malachi Walls, suggesting a coordinated attempt to mislead authorities. She was also charged with criminal speed and reckless driving, reflecting her involvement in the high-speed pursuit through city streets. Furthermore, Jasmine Walls faces charges of hindering prosecution and facilitation, indicating her alleged role in assisting or enabling Malachi Walls' actions and impeding the police investigation. Similar to Malachi Walls, she was also charged with four counts of endangerment, highlighting the perceived risk posed to others during the incident.
Following their arrests, both Malachi Walls and Jasmine Walls appeared in court. Malachi Walls was subsequently issued an $11,500 secured bond. He was then transported to the Mohave County Detention Facility, where he remains as of the latest information. Jasmine Walls was issued a $10,000 secured bond. Unlike Malachi Walls, she was released from custody after successfully posting her required bond. The legal proceedings for both individuals are expected to continue as the cases move forward through the Mohave County justice system.
