Lake Havasu City has issued a reminder to the community regarding the upcoming 55th annual London Bridge Days Parade, scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026. The parade will commence at 10:00 a.m. and will feature a revised route this year, a change implemented to enhance safety for both participants and spectators.
The event is hosted by Go Lake Havasu and DSM Events. The procession will follow McCulloch Boulevard, traveling from Birch Square to Capri Boulevard. Staging for parade entries will occur at Van Vliet Lane and Birch Square, utilizing both sides of McCulloch Boulevard. Additional staging will be set up in portions of the Mesquite Avenue parking lot, specifically near the splash pad, and within the upper lot situated near the jewelry store. Entries will then proceed from these staging points to Birch Square to join the official parade route.
To accommodate the event, McCulloch Boulevard will be temporarily closed from Acoma Boulevard to Capri Boulevard. This closure will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 24. Motorists are encouraged by Lake Havasu City to use alternate routes during these hours. The city also advises drivers to exercise caution in the area and to follow all instructions from signage, barricades, event volunteers, and law enforcement personnel.
The updated parade route was developed by the City’s special event team. This new layout aligns with the route successfully used for the Veterans Day Parade. The special event team conducted a thorough evaluation to determine this year's configuration, considering critical factors such as staging logistics, traffic control measures, emergency access, pedestrian safety, parking availability, and the safe movement of all parade entries.
While this revised route is expected to serve future parades, Lake Havasu City indicated that each event will continue to be reviewed individually. Route adjustments may still be made as necessary, based on evolving public safety needs, the anticipated size of the event, or prevailing roadway conditions. Lake Havasu City expressed its appreciation for the community’s cooperation and patience as residents come together to celebrate the 55th anniversary of London Bridge Days and honor this longstanding tradition.
