LAKE HAVASU CITY — Five local residents face charges following a targeted narcotics operation executed at a residential address on Lake Havasu Avenue North, as Lake Havasu City, AZ - News Flash reported.
Detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit carried out the operation as part of an ongoing, broader investigation into allegations concerning illicit fentanyl sales taking place throughout Lake Havasu City. The Special Investigations Unit operates as a dedicated component of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team, commonly known as MAGNET.
As the multi-unit narcotics investigation progressed across the community, law enforcement officers gathered sufficient evidence to apply for and obtain a judicial search warrant. The search warrant specifically authorized detectives to enter and search a residential property located within the 200 block of Lake Havasu Avenue North.
On October 27, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., tactical officers and investigators moved to serve the search warrant at the designated residence. The operational execution was carried out by members of the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team, working directly alongside personnel assigned to the department's Special Investigations Unit as well as officers from the Criminal Investigations Unit.
Upon gaining entry and securing the premises on Lake Havasu Avenue North, law enforcement officers conducted a search of the residence. During the course of that search, officers located and seized several items identified as narcotic and drug paraphernalia. Following the discovery and recovery of those physical items, investigators formally filed criminal charges against five individuals who were implicated as a result of the ongoing investigation.
All five individuals identified by law enforcement as facing charges in connection with the investigation are residents of Lake Havasu City. The individuals charged include 32-year-old resident Randy Johnson, 41-year-old resident Jessica Gutierrez, 28-year-old resident Jesse Rodgers, 30-year-old resident Erin Brogdon-Halliday, and 61-year-old resident Wendy Barry.
Following their arrests, the individuals appeared in court for their initial judicial hearings, during which custody statuses and financial bond requirements were formally established by the presiding judicial authority.
During her initial court appearance, 41-year-old resident Jessica Gutierrez was granted a release on her own recognizance without a requirement to post financial bail.
For the remaining four individuals, financial secured bonds were ordered by the court in varying amounts based on their individual cases. A secured bond in the amount of $25,000 was set for 32-year-old resident Randy Johnson. The court established a $10,000 secured bond for 61-year-old resident Wendy Barry. A $3,000 secured bond was issued for 30-year-old resident Erin Brogdon-Halliday, and a matching $3,000 secured bond was established for 28-year-old resident Jesse Rogers.
Following the conclusion of their respective initial court appearances, all four individuals who were issued secured financial bonds and remained in custody were turned over to law enforcement authorities for transport. Randy Johnson, Wendy Barry, Erin Brogdon-Halliday, and Jesse Rogers were subsequently taken to the Mohave County Detention Facility. They remain held at the county facility while waiting for their next scheduled court dates and further legal proceedings.
