The Women’s Network Exchange of Arizona, widely known as WNEA, will hold its annual Small Business Shopping Expo on Saturday, Nov. 7, as RiverScene Magazine reported. The gathering, described as the original shopping extravaganza, is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the Relics & Rods Hall at the Aquatic Center in Lake Havasu City.
The expo has established itself as one of the most popular annual traditions for the organization. By bringing a wide variety of local small businesses and independent merchants into a single venue, the gathering creates an opportunity for area residents to browse local products while offering direct financial backing to the surrounding business community.
Organizers emphasize that the gathering serves a dual purpose as both a civic shopping day and a primary fundraising vehicle for local causes. Janet Cruz, Interim President of WNEA, told RiverScene Magazine that the event represents the organization's largest signature fundraiser. Cruz noted that former members launched the tradition long before her tenure began, and she expressed enthusiasm for keeping the community tradition alive this year with the assistance of events coordinator and fellow member Kristen Kruegel.
In addition to the merchandise provided by participating vendors, attendees will have access to on-site food options and a cash bar throughout the six-hour event. The schedule also includes raffle opportunities for attendees. Admission to the Relics & Rods Hall is free of charge, positioning the gathering as an accessible weekend outing for local families and visitors.
All funds raised through the expo directly benefit WNEA’s ongoing educational initiatives. As a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, WNEA directs the proceeds toward educational scholarships. These financial awards are dedicated to assisting women who are currently enrolled in professional training programs or attending a college or university to achieve their career goals.
The upcoming event relies on local corporate backing, with official sponsorship provided by A+ Mail & Business Center as well as Anderson Auto Group.
Vendor participation remains a core element of the expo. Merchants and local business owners interested in reserving space or securing details about vendor opportunities are instructed to contact Kruegel directly by phone at 928-208-5311. For general inquiries regarding the event, the non-profit organization, or its scholarship program, members of the public can reach Cruz via email at [email protected].
Through events like the November shopping expo, WNEA continues its mission of promoting local commerce while simultaneously generating funding for higher education and job training for women across the local region.
